About this event

Due to the recent COVID-19 restrictions, the event has been postponed to the 16th of August.

The Perth Asian Professionals are excited to announce our annual premier WA State Level event for July, the Asian-Australian Leadership 'Breaking the Bamboo Ceiling' Networking Evening, Co-hosted with Murdoch University.

The event will host top level industry captains and leaders of Australian organisations to address how to "break the bamboo ceiling', with opening speeches from representatives of government, tertiary education institutions and the private sector.

This will be followed by a panel discussion, hosting a distinguished panel of speakers to discuss what needs to be done better or differently to best utilise the skills, experiences, knowledge and talent of Australia’s educated young Asian-Australian Leaders. The conversation will cover topics from boosting greater diversity representation in leadership positions to the topic of enabling the international student community to develop their leadership potential and take greater part in forging Australia's successful multicultural society and economic prosperity.

Networking opportunities for conversations and connections with the best and influential Asian industry leaders in Perth will be available after the panel discussion over canapes and drinks with views of the city skyline from the state-of-the-art venue at RAC Arena.

The event is an opportunity for leaders from government, corporations, businesses and the community to come together for an evening to address equal opportunities in leadership roles and the merit of enabling greater diversity representation for Asian-Australians.

We look to welcome students, working professionals, mid-level managers, business owners, entrepreneurs, community leaders and industry captains. Together, unlocking the leadership potential of the community through connections and conversations.
